Livingston Parish, LA — The Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Livingston program is proud to announce a community improvement project in partnership with Still Waters Refuge of Hope.
Still Waters Refuge of Hope is a nonprofit organization that supports women in recovery by providing safe, sober living and holistic care. Founded by a woman who experienced recovery firsthand, Still Waters helps women rebuild their lives through stability, support, and hope.
The Leadership Livingston project team will focus on physical and construction-related improvements to Still Waters’ facilities and offices. Planned enhancements include safety, access, and exterior improvements designed to strengthen the organization’s ability to serve their participants. The scope of work will be completed in phases and is dependent on funds raised through community sponsorships and donations.
This project is about impact. By improving the physical spaces at Still Waters, we are helping ensure they can continue focusing on their mission and the women they serve.
This project is being led by Leadership Livingston participants Kelsey Murray, Alexis Stewart, Luke Yoes, Bruiser Bryson, John Ponder, Raymond Lee, and John Cavalier. Together, the team is coordinating planning, fundraising, volunteer engagement, and community awareness for the project.
Still Waters Refuge of Hope expressed appreciation for the partnership, noting that facility improvements play a critical role in creating a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
This initiative is an official Leadership Livingston / Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce project, with all funds administered through the Livingston Chamber Foundation, a 501c3 organization. Community members and businesses are encouraged to support the project through sponsorships and in-kind contributions.
Additional updates, including project milestones and opportunities to support the effort, will be shared throughout the year.
