First Responders Monument in Walker Revealed - Leadership Livingston
First Responders Monument in Walker Revealed with Leadership Livingston
On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, an official reveal of the First Responders Monument will be held. The event is being organized by the Leadership Livingston Program in coordination with the City of Walker through the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce.
The First Responders Monument is a dedicated area for current and fallen first responders to be honored. It is one of the only projects of its kind in our area and is intended to honor first responders locally and regionally.
The monument idea started as a small icon and grew substantially when the Chamber’s Leadership Livingston Project Group – 2021 was invited to adopt the project. The monument complete with large granite, brick ledges, iron fencing, a fountain and dedicated first responder icons is valued at over $100,000. Funds were raised through the contributions of local businesses, first responders, individual contributions and stakeholders.
The reveal will be held 30225 Corbin Avenue, Walker, LA. The official ceremony begins at 9:00 a.m.
